Prevented overselling with an atomic conditional UPDATE inside the checkout transaction, after reproducing the
race behind 7 oversold orders in a concurrency test; checkout p95 stayed ~250 ms.
Verified provider signatures on payment webhooks and made them idempotent with a processed-event table, so
a repeated webhook cannot mark an order PAID twice.
Developed catalog REST API endpoints with cursor pagination, composite indexes for category and price filters,
and Redis caching invalidated on product update.
Added rate limiting on login and checkout with @nestjs/throttler on Redis.
Reviewed teammates' PRs for transactions, race conditions and N+1; caught a payment retry without an
idempotency key and added a concurrency item to the code review checklist.
Recovered a stalled BullMQ email queue within ~40 min after a bad release by patching the worker and replaying
idempotent jobs, then wrote the postmortem and added a queue-length alert.
